HYDE PARK / LINWOOD / OAKLEY

Hyde Park is an affluent area known for charming Hyde Park Square, surrounded by upscale clothing and jewelry boutiques, cafes, and chic restaurants. Named for its 19th-century hilltop observatory, the Observatory Historic District contains 1800s homes in eclectic architectural styles. The Rookwood Commons & Pavilion shopping complex has a mix of chain fashion and home-goods stores, plus casual eateries. Forbes named Hyde Park as one of “America’s Best Neighborhoods” in 2010. The Cincinnati Public Schools district operates public schools, including Withrow High School, Clark Montessori, Kilgour Elementary and The Hyde Park School.. Private schools in the neighborhood include the Summit Country Day School, the Springer School, and Center, the Cardinal Pacelli School and St. Mary Grade School. This community is home to established families, young professionals, and young families alike.  Residents can easily walk to shops & restaurants and have a short commute to downtown Cincinnati.

 

Oakley is a diverse historic and walkable neighborhood. It is home to many young professionals and young families.  The homes are a mix of bungalow and cape cods mixed with new developments including apartments and luxury condominiums. Oakley features a multitude of restaurants, craft beer spots, and indie shops in the Oakley Square business district. The 20th Century Theater hosts concerts in an art moderne-style former cinema. Nearby, the Oakley Recreation Center has a playground, swimming pool, and basketball court, and the neighborhood is home to 2 open-air shopping and entertainment complexes.  Oakley is part of the Cincinnati Public School system. 

 

Linwood is a diverse neighborhood bordering Mount Lookout, Columbia Tusculum, and the East End.  It is home to several eclectic restaurants.  Linwood features smaller historic homes and has seen a recent revitalization.  Many of the homes in Linwood are rental properties.  Linwood is in the Cincinnati Public School District and is in close proximity to downtown Cincinnati.
